Bear Lake is a small spring-fed lake about 15 miles north of Spokane, WA. It has a 1 1/4 mile trail around its perimeter.
Of course, this time of year, the lake is frozen over, but it still made for a very pleasant outing.
Here's a GPS link of the hike.

Looking southeast across the frozen expanse. It looks hazy because it was snowing at the time. |
